Poem 1. Thought shall be the harder, the heart the keener, courage the greater, as our strength lessens. Here lies our leader in the dust, all cut down; always may he mourn who now thinks to turn away from this warplay. I am old, I will not go away, but I plan to lie down by the side of my lord, by the man so dearly loved. Poem 2. Deep into that darkness peering, Long I stood there, wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals. Ever dared to dream before, But the silence was unbroken, And the stillness gave no token, And the only word there spoken. Was the whispered word, 'Lenore!' This I whispered, and an echo Murmured back the word, 'Lenore!' Merely this, and nothing more. Poem 3. Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date, Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm’d. And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm’d, But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st, Nor shall death brag thou wander’st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st. So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Using a String Wrapper for Cross-browser Testing

A string wrapper is beneficial for cross-browser testing. For instance, if you have an older website that wraps text at 80 or 132 characters, you can create unit tests to ensure text does not exceed these lengths. The input would be standard text, and the output would be the wrapped version. If your site needs a different wrap length, you can set it in the options, commonly at 40 or 100 characters. This tool can also be creatively used to split text into single words by setting the wrap length to 1.

Text Reflow in PDF Documents

When you zoom in on a PDF, text may extend beyond the visible area, requiring side-to-side scrolling, which hampers readability. Reflow rearranges the document into a single column, eliminating the need to scroll horizontally.

Steps to Enable Reflow in Adobe Reader:

1. Open Adobe Reader.
2. Click on the Edit menu, then Preferences.
3. Under Categories, select Accessibility.
4. Check the box for “Always use Zoom Setting” and set the dropdown to Reflow.
5. Click OK and restart Adobe Reader to apply changes.

To temporarily disable reflow if a document doesn’t display correctly:

1. Open the View menu.
2. Navigate to Zoom and select Reflow to turn it off. You can reactivate it in the same manner.

Note that reflow may not work with all PDFs, depending on their original creation. You can use SensusAccess to convert the PDF to a tagged format or a Microsoft Word document, enabling text size adjustments.

For Viewing PDFs in Pure Text Mode:

1. Tap the “More” icon on the top bar.
2. Select the “Text Reflow” icon in the PDF Viewer menu to see the document in text format.
3. In Text Reflow mode, access options for Settings, Auto Scroll, and Search at the bottom menu.
4. Tap “Settings” to adjust reading preferences, such as Fonts, Font Size, Auto Scroll Speed, and activate Auto Flip.
